프로그램 개요
네팔의 산간 지역에는 극복할 수 없는 장벽에 직면한 탁월한 학업 잠재력을 가진 아동들이 있습니다. 고아이거나 극심한 빈곤 속에 살고 있는 이 밝은 젊은 마음들은 종종 외딴 마을의 교육 인프라 부족으로 인해 그들이 마땅히 누려야 할 미래를 부정당합니다. 이것은 Compassion Nepal이 해결할 수 있는 독특한 위치에 있는 빈곤과 취약성의 악순환을 만듭니다. 우리의 해결책은 고아 학생 교육 Initiative입니다. 이는 카트만두에 위치한, 특별히 이러한 재능 있고 어려운 처지의 아동들을 위해 설계된 포괄적인 주거 시설입니다.
Our Mission: Identify, Educate, Nurture, Empower
Our project's mission unfolds through four interconnected movements: IDENTIFY exceptionally talented students from our rural tuition centers who demonstrate great potential but lack resources; EDUCATE by providing access to high-quality formal education in Kathmandu with additional academic support; NURTURE by creating a safe, stable, and supportive residential environment that addresses physical, emotional, and social needs; EMPOWER by equipping students with life skills, confidence, and education for long-term self-reliance.
Our Program: A Holistic Approach to Development
This initiative is a comprehensive and integrated solution addressing multifaceted needs. Educational Support provides access to quality education through partnerships with local private schools and part-time home tutors. Residential and Emotional Care creates a true home with nutritious food, clean clothing, medical services, and emotional counseling. Skills Development focuses on practical life skills and vocational training for long-term sustainability and self-reliance.
Our Promise: A Foundation of Safety and Accountability
Given the vulnerability of the children we serve, a robust ethical and safeguard framework is non-negotiable. Our initiative operates under strict Child Protection and Safeguard Policy including thorough screening, strict safety rules with Two-Adult Rule, clear reporting procedures, and financial integrity with dedicated oversight and regular audits.
Our Roots: A Partnership with the Community
This project is a natural extension of Compassion Nepal's established mission and presence in mountain communities. Students will be selected in close partnership with local representatives from our existing tuition centers. An Advisory Committee composed of local Village Representatives will ensure we select the right students, leveraging local knowledge and trust while maintaining vital links to their home villages.
